The unique colouration and appearance of this soft, semi transparent form of Moonstone is caused by the way the mineral is formed. When two different types of felspar mix together, then cool which in turn arrange themselves in alternating layers, gives an appearance of a blue flashing glow.
When you catch the blue flash on these gems, you'll be sure to be taken aback with the natural sheens.
The black mineral inclusions in Rainbow moonstone are Tourmaline, this holds protective energy, enhancing the Moonstones properties.
